At meetings, conferences and events, it is important to reach the participants in the right way with the right AV equipment. Here, nice lighting is an important component that helps to enhance the overall impression and create the right atmosphere.
Considering the right lighting for one's event is important. Often, the existing light in a meeting room will be sufficient for a small meeting with few presentations. However, there may also be situations where a more specific lighting setup is desired, e.g. suitable for corporate colors or if you want to use effect lighting for e.g. product presentations or the like. To help you choose the right light, you can consider:
- Is the existing light in the room sufficient?
- If not – what do you want to communicate with your use of light?
- Should the light match corporate colors (logos, etc.)?
- Should the lighting be more event-oriented and create an atmosphere?
- Where do you imagine light will be used? (entrance, along walls, by the stage, etc.)
Mood lighting
A typical way to use lighting at meetings , presentations or smaller events such as dinners and the like is to use different types of colored static light placed in the right places in the room, as well as spots for lighting speakers and the stage.
Use battery-powered uplights
An easy and effective way to create stylish lighting is to use wireless uplights. These LED lamps can deliver many colours, but can also be used to simply deliver warm white. Often, however, you want to create an atmosphere with one or more colors. They are often used along walls, by the stage or at entrances, but only the imagination sets the limits. They can also be used outdoors.
If you want a color change during your event, this can easily be done centrally by our AV technicians using a tablet. So you don't have to go to each individual lamp and set it manually.
Table lamps
If your event includes a dinner, this will almost always include mood lighting as described above. In addition, you will also often place a table lamp on each table. The lamps create cozy lighting and shine with many different colors so that they suit the mood you want. Of course, they can also be adjusted up and down in brightness.

Spots for stage lighting and stage lights
Classic mood lighting also includes the most common stage lighting. Here, you will often use uplights along the stage's backdrop (unless this, for example, is digital in the form of an LED wall). In addition, lamps will be placed to ensure that lecturers, panel tables or the like are illuminated in the right way. Spots are often set up in a truss above the stage or on stands on either side of the stage. Fresnel, profile and washers are usually used for this type of lighting. If it is a larger stage, you can also choose to use a follow-up spot if you are speaking, e.g. moves around the stage and the rest of the light in the room is dimmed.

If you want more effective light, you can e.g. make use of moving lights, color changes that run in a fixed loop or are timed specifically for your event.

If your upcoming event e.g. is an event that contains a product presentation, band, DJ with DJ desk or similar, or you simply want an effective use of light, when speakers go on stage this can be created using the right light production.
Moving heads
You may know the use of moving heads from concerts, TV studios and the like. Common to this type of lamps is that they create an enormously effective moving light in several colours. Often you will use two or more moving heads placed on e.g. a series and programmed to shoot concentrated cones of light, wash cones of light or the like into space. GOBOs – Metal discs with patterns for effective lighting
A gobo is a small disk into which a pattern, logo or similar has been milled. The disc can be easily mounted spots and thereby used to e.g. illuminate a backdrop at a stage, a floor or ceiling area – again only the imagination sets the limits. If you are considering using gobos at your event, remember to take into account that the discs to be used take some time to produce.
Light mixer and light production
As described, more advanced use of light at your upcoming event often requires an actual light production. However, this does not have to be difficult. For this, our technicians use special software and dedicated light mixers. Wha. these they can, based on knowledge of e.g. room and stage size program the use of light even before they set it up at your chosen venue. During the event itself, they can also control the light manually if there is a need for this in connection with a presentation or the like. Naturally, a light test is always done, just like when you do a sound test, etc.
