The different types of screens for the meeting room
AV equipment is an important part of a well-functioning meeting room, including choosing the right screen. Typically, the choice will be between a projector, ordinary flat screens or touch screens.
Advantages of having a screen in the meeting room
A screen in the meeting room gives meeting participants the opportunity to clearly follow presentations etc
Three useful tips for choosing the right monitor
There are several things worth considering when choosing a screen for your meeting room. Consider the following when choosing a monitor.
Consider carefully what you will use the screen for.
1 – What exactly will the screen be used for?
Clarify what you will use the screen for in the meeting room. If it is important that the presenter should be able to easily interact and make selections directly on the screen, then a touch screen might be the right choice. However, such markings can also be made using special software on a laptop. So choosing the right screen therefore depends on your needs. The size of the screen is also important to think about. We review this below.
2 – The right resolution and size
It is important that the screen in the meeting room has the right size and can present images in high resolution. Choosing the screen size is important in that everyone must be able to easily see what is presented. Therefore, the image must not be too small, but not too large either. There must be sufficient space between the screen and the meeting participants sitting closest, so that they are not sitting too close to it. We can advise you.
The screen must not be too big or too small.
Here, delay screens are used on the left and right side.
3 – Room size and lighting conditions
As described above, it is important to consider the size of the room when choosing a screen. In addition, it is also a good idea to consider the lighting conditions. This is especially so if you use a projector, as this often requires that the light in the room can be dimmed. If the meeting room is large, one or more projectors or an LED wall may be the right solution, so that all meeting participants can follow along. Delay screens can also help participants further away follow along. Read more about this below.
Does it make sense to rent a screen instead of buying?
This depends on several things. If the screen in the meeting room is not to be installed as a permanent part of the meeting room's AV equipment, then you can consider renting a screen.
Which screen resolution should I choose?
Most flat screens today have a very good resolution. But it is important to take this into account before choosing a screen and it depends on what you are going to show on the screen. If you e.g. has content that often requires a resolution, e.g. 4K (UHD), then it is of course important that the screen can display this resolution.
How do I install a screen in our meeting room?
Flat screens that must be a permanent part of the meeting room's AV equipment will most often be mounted on a wall-mounted stand. Alternatively, the screen can also stand on feet, if it is to stand on a piece of furniture or the like. Read more about smaller AV installations from Teletech here or about renting screens here, if you do not need a permanent installation.
